Move To Bristol
Located at the crossroads where the paths of four states intertwine, Bristol is uniquely situated within a day’s drive of more than half the United States’ population.
Move To Bristol is a sponsor-supported, lead fulfillment and demographic tracking program. Relocation leads are generated from the MoveToBristol.org website, retirement specific websites sponsored at the State level, from personal contact with attendees at national and regional trade shows and expos, and walk-in visitors. Relocation leads are maintained in a database, and information requests filled at several levels with smaller packets provided free of charge, and nominal costs to cover shipping charges for larger packages. Although a variety of information is provided on the website, the relocation packets contain a welcome letter, specific information from program sponsors, real estate guides, a telephone book, and other print collaterals.
Return To Roots SWVA
Return to Roots is a program to locate Southwest Virginia native sons and daughters and return them to their roots for career opportunities. The program reaches out to former residents of the area through the website ReturnToRoots.org, direct mail and the news media to inform them about employment opportunities available in Southwest Virginia. The site links these potential employees to regional companies with job openings.
The Tennessee Department of Economic and Community Development (ECD) offers the “Retire Tennessee” program, which promotes Tennessee as a great place for retirees to call home. The American Association of Retirement Communities Seal of Approval Program recognizes communities and master-planned developments that possess the resources and amenities that attract today’s relocating retiree.
